Start a new hire
- Open the Onboarding Setup app in monday.
- On New hire, fill in:
Employee nameType of hireStart dateProgram lead / hiring managerJob titleCPC divisionProgram / siteDocuments folder link (OneDrive or Dropbox, optional)
- Click Submit and keep the page open until it says Done (up to 5 minutes).
Never enter salary or pay.The Yellow Form's pay details stay with HR and Payroll. They do not go into monday.
That one Submit
- Adds the hire to the Onboarding Master List
- Creates the hire's onboarding board (named after the employee)
- Creates the IT onboarding ticket in Ticketing for Supervisors
- Sets every task date from the start date
- Makes the hiring manager the Owner of their tasks and a Collaborator on the CPC email request
- Links the documents folder
If it says "Board not ready yet" or lists failed stepsGo to Hires, find the hire, and click Finish setup. It's safe to retry.
Don't use the Master List's "Add project" button.Create hires in the Onboarding Setup app only, or the hire gets two boards.

Work the hire's board
Date
Date is each task's due date. To change the start date, change the Date on the "Hire start date" task. Every other task moves with it. Then also update Start Date on the Onboarding Master List.
Edit "Hire start date" task→All task dates shift→Update Start Date on Master List
Owner Role
Says who is responsible. The supervisor confirms New Employee tasks.

Status

| Waiting on Email | Needs the hire's CPC email first (list servs, email signature, database/website access). The Email Task Status column shows the email request's status. |
Task set to Waiting on Email→IT marks email request Done→Collaborators get a notification→Change task to Not Started or Working on it

IT setup
The IT ticket is created for you in Ticketing for Supervisors. IT Ticket Status on the board shows its progress.
Program Hiring Manager: do the "Confirm IT ticket details" task. Open the ticket and fill in what the app can't:
- Preferred name
- Employment status
- The site under the division
- Door access cards
- How the staff ID photo will be sent

Sign-off
- Complete "Complete initial review on Performance Evaluation form".
- Complete "Supervisor sign-off; submit to compliance": send it to
compliance@cpc-nyc.org - Mark the task Done.
Access
- Hire boards are visible to Operations workspace members.
- Invite a program lead from outside Operations to the specific hire board.
- Documents stay in OneDrive/Dropbox. Link them, don't upload them.
